INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?

We have a variety of volunteer positions (some paid!) available to help us run our Club. if you are looking for further information, please contact our committee at willoughbyunited@gmail.com!

Umpiring

Players can start umpiring the year they are turning 12 and we provide coaching, mentoring and support for anyone in the club who is interested in umpiring. All umpires must have a current pass (valid for 4 years) in the Netball Rules of Theory Examination which can be accessed via https://learning.netball.com.au

Willoughby United provides umpires for each of our teams every week and we rely on our club umpires for support. We offer opportunities to progress via the umpiring pathway available at Northern Suburbs.  Umpires are paid based on umpiring level attained and experience.

NetSetGo - we encourage all NSG parents to get involved with umpiring.  Parent umpires act as an on-court coach during NSG games and it is an incredibly rewarding way to support your child as they start playing netball.  No prior umpiring experience is necessary and we provide full training and support.

Coaching

Are you keen to provide guidance and development for young netballers? Coaching is an extremely rewarding job and we offer opportunities to coach across all ages and playing standards.  Coaching is a great way to learn leadership skills and many of our younger coaches use coaching as part of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and school community service requirements. Willoughby United supports our club coaches by paying for you to do the Netball Australia Coaching Foundation course, providing coaching clinics and mentoring throughout the season from our experienced Club Coaches.  Coaches should be turning 14 or older and are able to coach with a friend.

Please contact  our Coaching Coordinator (Emma Gattas) for further details via willoughbyunited@gmail.com
